The central area of the Isle of Wight is home to Newport, the Island’s county town.  A mix of traditional Isle of Wight fayre – quirky boutique shops, gorgeous tea shops and beautiful restaurants blend with modern day high street stores.  A busy and bustling town, Newport has excellent transport links with buses departing to all areas of the island from the main bus terminal.

History abounds in Newport alongside the hustle and bustle of modern life – central Newport offers St Thomas’ church (also known as Newport Minster) for history lovers to visit, whilst slightly out of town Carisbrooke Castle awaits.
