The North-West of the Island is considerably more quiet than the south, but is no less beautiful or captivating than the rest of the Island offering a variety of locations and activities/attractions to keep the whole family entertained.
Home to the Islands’ most notorious town, Cowes sits at the most northern point of the island. Well-known for its sailing, Cowes offers year-round sailing activities and really comes to life during the unmissable Cowes week – a gathering of thousands of yachts all competing in the Cowes Regatta. An event not to be missed, this annual event is full of colour, carnivals and fun!
Also home to Wightlinks’ Yarmouth terminal, the North-West of the Island offers a perfect welcome to the Isle of Wight. Travel links are fantastic to all areas from Yarmouth and visitors will delight in travelling down classic country lanes and through quintessential Isle of Wight towns.
