Atherfield Green Farm

Located in Chale, the Farm is approximately 15 minutes to to Ventnor (east), and Freshwater (west). It is also 5 minutes from the stunning Military Road, which runs half the length of the southern coast towards Freshwater and the Needles, comprising attractions such as Compton Beach (famous for finding dinosaur fossils) and Isle of Wight Pearl along the way.

This beautiful complex comprises of 4 seperate cottages, all fully accessible. Purpose-built from old barns, the cottages sit in a tranquil haven surrounded by open countryside. Up to 2 pet dogs are welcome; service dogs are welcome as needed.

Atherfield Green Farm really offer a home-from-home experience, with all basic neccessities included such as as bedding, towels, and kitchen utensils. Specialist equipment can be rented from a local supplier – please let us know at the time of booking so this can be arranged on your behalf.

Each cottage has its own designated parking space ouside.

Honeysuckle Cottage:

Honeysuckle is a delightfully cosy cottage with three bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of eight people. One bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has an en suite, fully accessible wet room. Two further bedrooms can be found upstairs, one of which has an en suite bathroom. There is a generous sitting/dining room, a separate well-equipped kitchen, and an additional ground floor shower room. Honeysuckle has its own private, enclosed garden which is ideal for families with small children and/or dogs.

Honeysuckle cottage has:

gas central heating
all utilities, bedding and indoor towels included in the cost
a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and full-sized cooker with double oven
access to a shared tumble drier adjacent to the cottage
Freeview and a DVD player in the lounge
free wi-fi
a cot and highchair available to borrow (please note cot bedding is not provided)
a fully enclosed garden to the rear with a gateway leading to the shared garden area where our hot tub is sited
a super-king double bed in the ground floor bedroom which can be split into two singles. We are able to provide a fully electric profiling bed for our disabled guests (replacing one of the single beds in this room)
a super-king double bed in the en-suite bedroom upstairs; again this can be split into two singles
two single beds and a double in the third bedroom
a fully accessible ground floor wet room with wheel-in shower, and grab rails either side of the toilet, in the shower and by the sink
double doors leading to the patio from the lounge and the ground floor bedroom
an electric riser-recliner chair in the lounge

Rose Cottage:

Rose is the largest internally of the four cottages and has a stunning entrance hall, with the original granary beams on display. It has three bedrooms and sleeps up to eight people. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has a fully accessible wet room. There are two further bedrooms and a shower/bathroom upstairs. Rose cottage has a generously-sized, well-equipped kitchen/diner and a separate lounge with Freeview TV and DVD player. There are doors leading out to the patio area and shared garden, where there is a hot tub available for guests to use. There is an additional W.C. on the ground floor.

Lavender Cottage:

Lavender cottage has a lovely light and airy feel to it with plenty of living space to choose from. The well-equipped kitchen is open plan to a recently added conservatory/diner with views onto the central courtyard and shared garden. There is a separate lounge with Freeview television and DVD player. The whole cottage is ground floor with two spacious bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a fully electric profiling bed along with a standard single; the other bedroom has a super-king double bed which can be separated into two singles if required. There is a fully accessible wet room.

Lavender cottage has:

Wisteria Cottage:

Wisteria is the newest addition to Atherfield Green Farm. It has its own private hot tub, enabling you to relax and enjoy the bubbles whilst immersed in the beautiful scenery.

Wisteria is a large cottage with a good balance of living space along with three spacious bedrooms. The cottage is all ground floor with a well-equipped kitchen and lounge with Freeview television and a DVD player. There is a fully-accessible wet room, en suite to one of the bedrooms. A separate bathroom is also available

Wisteria has a semi-covered terrace area, giving this lovely cottage an additional living space where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Wisteria cottage has:

three bedrooms (doubles or singles), including one with a fully accessible wet room with wheel-in shower, and grab rails to the side of the toilet
