Yaverland Beach lays at the most south-easterly point of the long stretch of golden sands along the coastline. Blending into Sandown beach, Yaverland is more quiet but shares incredible views and fine golden sand.
In terms of accessibility, accessible parking is available along the esplanade immediately adjacent to the beach, or in the small car park at the end of the esplanade. Access to the beach is good via a wide ramp which leads directly into the sand. Accessible toilets and a café are placed at the entrance to the carpark.
Unfortunately, there is no beach matting at Yaverland so it is advisable to bring a beach wheelchair if necessary. Alternatively, a beach wheelchair is available to hire from Sandown beach.
It is often useful to be aware of high tides as some beaches are entirely covered at these times. To m ake the most of your day, have a look at the tide times here.
